Nortons Coin, rushed home from school, had a 50p ew at 200/1 and another 25p ew at 100/1, loved it picking up Toby
Have to agree with Masterminded, unbelievably easy win from Voy Por Estedes in the Champion Chase.
Going back further Willie Wumpkins winning the Coral year after year in atrocious conditions aged 11-12 and 13.

For being visually impressive would have to say Rooster Booster in the CH.
Viking Flagship ridden by Charlie Swan winning the Champion Chase, impressed me.

ingles drever and going back to when I was at school desert orchid,could`nt believe he beat yahoo on that ground going left handed as well (skived off school to watch him!!!!)

Master Minded winning the 2008 Champion Chase as a young horse, reminded ne of how Tingle Creek dominated his peers. Thought he would have been about far longer than he was.

As a spectacle Edredon Bleu's 2000 Champion chase takes some beating, a fantastic race to watch and on proper ground. 
The golden age of hurdling was the late seventies.
Thirty seven years ago a novice turned up for the first race on the second day of Cheltenham,he was trained by Eddie OGrady and ridden by Niall Madden,he was backed from 6/4 into 10/11 on the day,he was the Irish banker of all bankers.
His name was Golden Cygnet.
What he did to that excellent field that day was extraordinary.
Those that were there will never forget it.

Agree with Wildman,in his fatal fall race at Ayr later on that year was cantering over the likes of Night Nurse and Sea Pigeon in the Scottish Champion Hurdle when it suffered the fall at the last.

Seen CRISP win the Champion Chase, that was only his second race in this country, had previously won a Wincanton H'cap under top weight very easily. He was impressive at Cheltenham his first big test in this country, but later on that epic race in the Grand National with Red Rum, one of the finest performances I've ever seen on a racecourse.
Before CRISP came over here he jumped so well in Australia they called him The Black Kangaroo. Still one of my favourite horses ever.

Looks Like Trouble was another epic, brutal RSA Chase, I meant to add
flyingbolt won champion chase 3rd in champion hurdle 1 day later a real horse
Crimson Embers returning to regain his title in the 1986 Stayers, when he should have been retaining it and making it a hat-trick of victories, oh Stuart why didn't you give evidence and object...!
Moscow Flyer 2002 Arkle after that performance I knew he was a horse to be followed in future 2 mile grade 1 Chases.
Dunguib by far best speed rating going into 2009 bumper race and yet freely available at 7/1 in the morning and I certainly availed by myself. Won in very pleasing sytle.

Cork,would that have been because the mare Rose Ravine was from the yard? I was only young then had a tenner on RR and £2.50 R/F with Embers. Was Mooney or Morshead on RR?
ph, very much so, same owner as CE as well and a victorious mare in the race was worth a lot more than a win for CE, the man on board RR that day was Ricky Pusey
I'd forgotten him, just wasn't convinced about Mooney so thought it had to be Morshead.

another barnstorming sun alliance chase classic - Envopak Token, Nick The Brief, Brown Windsor
Galileo...to win a Derby and Sun Alliance Hurdle was some feat!!!

Was also the only horse capable of making the Wardrobe look a "decent" rider...!
That French Holly video is miles better than I remember from the time.

Badsworth Boy .....has any other horse won a championship race by 31 lengths ....people drool over Master Minded winning by just over half the distance.
He followed up with two more effortless 10 lengths win .......still the only 3 times Two mile champ.

Dawn Run, i forgive jj for every horse he has hooked up when i think of the mare winning
of the ones i have seen had to be istarbraaq closley followed by moscow flyer
