"The first one is that we have a couple of tickets to Cheltenham knocking around, unfortunately we’re not allowed to go (work eh..pft) so we’re offering them to you guys to win."
Why do they make the tickets sound like cast offs? |
|
By:
Dont worry Do wah.. we wont expect your to squeeze it into your house.
The horses are already at a professional stable, and will be kept there - you will have the chance to visit it, attend its races, and if you're lucky collect your share of its race profits.. |

Last year 'Betfair Poker' tantalised us with a trip to a beer festival for best caption provider. No notification or announcement of a winner despite several promptings. Pesky customers!
This year, a hoss (pictured below). ![]() Next year, choice of a trip to the moon OR night with Nicole Scherzinger. |

An utter disgrace that you're trying to encourage punters onto a poker platform that does not work.
You have serious issues with your poker site, and when it is brought to your attention you just deny everything. Time and time again. Luring punters in this way smacks of desperation. Dreadful. Just dreadful. |

So who won the caption contest that was well advertised on here - I am sure Betfair Poker can find out and tell us all seeing as it's replying to Do Wah

Re the previous caption competition, we had several threads open for this across several of the forums, as well as a competition on our Team Betfair page - those who won were contacted and invited - i guarantee you that, just check out the pictures on the page
messy times. The two winners for the Cheltenham tickets will be announced here tomorrow & those who win our MTT's, we'll make sure they get a selfie with their horse and post it up here for you :) |

Remind us of the caption winning entries so, Betfair Poker.
The threads were left up for about a month after the event, on several forums, with many people asking who won...only to be ignored. Its amazing how an effort designed to promote your site could have the polar opposite effect. Otherwise known as 'Doing a Ratner'. |

Regarding the "just check out the pictures" - without disclosing personal names etc, surely it was a simple enough task to name the forumite name who won and with what caption on these several threads.
Maybe this can be done now, just to show that it wasn't a few employees and mates having a jolly up? It would then GUARANTEE no bitterness from all of the conspiracy theorists on here - not me obviously as I will actually guarantee that I'm not one of those.... Thanks BF Poker |

All these Betfair offers are counter productive leaving the vast majority of their customers feeling undervalued and not wanting to participate in these pathetic competitions.
Betfair should consider whether they have the right minds involved in these promotions and consider whether they would be best employed in childrens recreation. A prime example is the cash race which replaced the old treasure chest. Granted my turnover per month would only average a grand or so and mostly in multipples it seems strange that I have yet to get half the points to even get to first base of £6. On the old regular treasure chest it was always an easy £20-£40 which was much a appreciated and left a nice taste in your mouth. I think Betfair should rethink their strategy with perhaps more adult minds who are less insulting and realise that pettyness is a very costly practice even in the short term but most certainly in the long run. Betfair is still a great place to use but with each passing month it becomes more questionable and that is an unforgivable failing in those that should know better and probably are paid very handsomely to do so. |
