As mentioned before my interest in NH racing has waned over the past few years as i've found the winter AW easier in terms of time available to me and far easier to quantify selections at value prices. Nothing to get my teeth into today so just scanned through the jump cards for an interest. Last jumper i posted Bothy came 3rd at 20/1 at Cheltenham. Anyhow only horse that has caught my eye is Sa Suffit in the 3.35 Sedgefield. Have to go back a few years to find it's form but notice that it's back with James Ewart after a short spell with Goldie. His last win was nearly 5 years ago(about the time i was last taking a serious interest), and remember him being best around the 2 1/2miles mark on soft ground, last won from a mark of 152 but see he has run well since from 148/149 but that was still 3 years ago and put in a creditable run from 132 over hurdles. Gets in today on 134 having just the 2 runs in the past 14 months, the unfortunate Stagecoach Pearl figures prominently in some of his more recent runs lto over an inadequate 2 miles beat him 12 lengths rec 17lbs, but back in Dec 11 finished just 3/4 length ahead of virtually level weights, similarly in the Nov run not much between them at levels. Stagecoach Pearl since ran close off a 7lb higher mark so my thinking is that Sa Suffits run may not have been too bad(1st run for a year). James Ewart had 3 entered for this but only Sa Suffit takes its chance over favoured trip and ground. If retaining a modicum of his previous form(donkeys years ago) would have a chance Yes? Long winded i know but if you're still with me does he have a chance against todays rivals?
