Once again this rancid outfit screw the punters. The horse broke well, was reined back for whatever reason and when a gap appeared the rodent on its back was in no way going to attempt to place. They are bad news!

Absolutely blatent - stayed well enough at Kempton after leading, but held back over an easier Lingfield 7furlongs.

You will have somebody on here shortly giving reasons why they didn't fancy it....some sort of ratings or speed figures.....that kind of rubbish....

Funny how it seemed to be staying fine at the end of the race there, despite being made to pull early in the race.

Its led in nearly all its races and its best results came from when it was in front early.

Yep, but makes any explanation for the ride completely illogical. If it had gone from the front should have been winning by 3 lengths with a simple repeat of it's previous form.

These type of people will kill AW racing and its no harm either.....

They can't argue it wouldn't stay - it was within a couple of lengths of winning a far stronger handicap over 7 at Kempton recently. Stayed ok in that race.

AW racing far from being killed is now the staple diet of UK racing,

Egan will just say he was told not to lead and the horse did not suit being held up,case closed.

The race was full of dross,no pace at all,Egan could easily have pinched 3-4 lengths at the start. If they had backed it from 5/2 into Evens,they wouldn't have seen which way it went

why should the jockey be banned if he rode to his employers instructions, it's time the trainers were called in to explain why they give iffy instructions

The BHA have a difficult job here and legally an almost impossible one. I cant see how or why you would want to change tactics that were effective when dropping in grade so clearly an odd ride.

The problem is that different tactics are tried on plenty of horses day in day out, some work, some do not.

Quite how you can be sure what happened was dodgy in a way that is punishable is far from easy.

The best way with these people is to simply avoid, sad but the only sure way not to lose money.

We all know some cases have been found out (legally) in the past. Lets hope someone is doing something about this in the background...if they wanted to make it more blatent they couldn't have done.

Oldgit - I think you are apples and pears'ing.  The bottom line is that blind-backing Egan riding for Evans yields a good profit, even allowing for the relatively poor AW performance. Dropping the AW of course improves the return. Blind backing Evans irrespective of Jock is of course a loser.
