Hi I have been paper Trading a stategy which requires me to Lay first and backing around the off! As I am paper trading I dont have any previous bets to call up in my history so I cant look back and work out the deductions for non runners on the horses I intended to back. For my research I wondered if anyone could enlighten me on how BF calculate the deduction on my selection when there are 1 or more non runners! This information would be of great use as it would give me an even more accurate assessment of the strategy!

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks guys! As I read it the percentage is shown next to a non runner and is deducted as follows! If you lay at 3.00 and there is a non runner with a reduction factor of 25% you would deduct the 25% from 2.00 being the potential profit of the lay. I.E so my lay price would be 2.50. Have I read this correctly and is my calculation correct?

No, the deduction applies also to the stake, so your price would be 2.25.
If there were to be a further NR in the same race, with a  reduction factor of 20%, your lay would then be priced at 1.8
