Hi Jonjo you are absolutely justified in being suspicious. SD is not an idiot (contrary to what one may think after that ride) and has ridden winners at Lingfield over many years. To drop back and allow the eventual winner to have over ten lengths lead off that final bend, while still remaining motionless is something an experienced rider would simply not do. Combine this with the drift on betfair and questions to the jockey, trainer AND bookmakers have to be asked.
