Ran well first time out and not beaten far behind Parish Business (now rated 138). Also ran well on second outing on unsuitably soft going. Shrewd trainer has wasted no more time with hurdles and Primo Capitano could have any amount in hand of his mark of 116 in the opener at Doncaster - assuming of course that a) the horse can jump a fence (if not then the trainer would probably have kept him to hurdles) and b) the going at Doncaster is not as soft as it was at Chepstow on his previous run.

Big drift before the off and the jockey couldn't hold a position in the first 50 yards. Hmmm
Anybody know if there was a stewards enquiry into this horse today?
Andrew Tinkler, the rider of PRIMO CAPITANO (IRE), which was pulled up, reported that the gelding moved poorly and was never travelling. The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing found it to be lame.
