Is it me or are the top n/h horses turning into "Derby winners" (win a couple of good races and you never see them again, because of this, because of that. Along with Simon Sig, Sire de Grugy, My Tent or Yours....what happened to the hardy run 5-6 times a season horses. I guess thats just reserved for the run of the mill handicappers with nothing to protect or to lose. |

No point in "protecting" the reputation of NH horses. They are all worth zilch unless they are racing. The usual reason for not running is fragile legs. If they are only expected to survive one or two runs before breaking down you wait until a really big pot is available.
