Any views ..................19 runners ?
By:
I like the look of Midnight Prayer,as well as Smad
By:
smad place runs well fresh but wont stay on the soft going
By:
has stayed on soft ground as a novice chaser already
By:
That is my only worry GAZO................but 12345
pedro fink hes a plodder (a good 1) but will be out of its comfort zone Track laid on gravel ...................& wivout rain will be drying out all the time |
By:
flat track should help him but think this might be too much of a stamina test for him in this grade
By:
fingal bay had some very usefull form as a novice hurdler beating simonsig at sandown and as a nov chaser ran dynaste to 3l giving that horse 4 pounds ,had a setback and came back 0over hurdles and won 1st time up last season then won the pertemps at the festival off a big weight ,lack of chasing expeireince a bit of a concern but has the form in the book to run a big race !.fingal bay e.way

If U were to look at the breeding...................U wouldent av a bet ............Ive backed him nor the KG
By:
kings theartre - lady miggelette (blakeny) has won over 3 miles at the fest ......going may be a neg but same fro most of em !
By:
Kings Theatre offspring on really soft ground are not at their best imo
By:
Still going through the race, but, I have Merry King and Unioniste on my shortlist at the moment.
By:
Holywell , just backed Merry King ,think it has a very good chance , well weighted having ran really well to finish 5th last year , and with the champ up must be worth a punt ...
By:
how are U M8 ?
By:
I think both Fingal Bay and Unioniste could run very big races on Saturday.
By:
always give the op sel a 2nd look as i have the utmost respect for them , i don't think snad place is very well h/c and is a victim of his own consistency , merry down looks dangerous, but my idea of the winner is MIDNIGHT PRAYER , will be staying on when others have had enough ! nice price ,
yes stable mate for me madge ! ![]() |
By:
25s here and sky bet , noticed money for it with paddy only 16s now !

By:
UNIONISTE should relish the ground and ulcer problems have supposedly been resolved, likes flat tracks ,course winner , get involved 16/1
By:
Merry King seems to fall short on the
big races. All wins were with Mclernon on board, style of riding may suit the horse better than AP.Wychwoods Brook finished in front of MK when wining at Haydock last season and is ony 3lb worse at the weights.25/1 nearly twice the price of MK.Williams has won this in the past, also. Ballynagour is also got a good chance if staying the trip, interesting that he bypassed the PP which he was quite high up in the market and makes his seasonal debut in this. WB...25/1 Ballynagour...20/1,both E/W. GL ALL |

BALLYNAGOUR pour moi. Enjoy

By:
light rain tbf

Agree with the unioniste posts, massively experienced for a 6yo chaser with best years ahead, could make up into a gold cup horse so should be winning off his current mark , has won over course and won around this time last year over 3m1f giving Wishful Thinking a 7l beating at Aintree getting 4lb
has won first time out and goes on any ground, Fehily showed his worth on Conti last week so will lack for nothing in the saddle at current 19 on the exchange he's an ew steal if he stands up assuming he's over the ulcer problems from last year. |
By:
very little rain in newbury since wednesday
By:
Merry king will be primed for tomorrow,no one better than johnjo in priming a horse for a big handicap, has had a couple of bad runs, will be in 1st 4 !
By:
Merry King not classy enough to win this race IMO.
By:
Elise / Mange like the crocs have been in denial !

By:

Monbeg Dude for me. This will be a massive test of stamina on this ground and this former Welsh National winner will relish it.
