Perhaps not scheduling 2 races confined to Mares and making the opening 0-100 a regular handicap instead of a seller would help. It is a long way for a lot of people to travel so perhaps putting as few restrictions on entries as possible would help. Just a thought?

What would be particularly helpful would be if Fakenham was razed to the ground. A ghastly place, useless horses, pathetic prize money - usually watched by a smattering of in-breds with not much else to do.

Is there anywhere you do like Johnny? (Never been to Fakenham - might be exactly as described.)

Plenty MD. London is the greatest city in the world. I adore Italy and the Cote d'Azur also.

Prize money at Fakenham is good compared with Ayr/Chepstow/Fontwell/Worcester.

Along with the BHA, Fakenham executive refused for many years,
to see the obvious problem of their run-in/finish,
to the detriment of many losing punters

Fakenham prize money is fine. The COC never mentions it's in the middle of feckin nowhere.

Fakenham is a hidden gem in a beautiful part of the world.

When I lived in London I went racing there every day I could, you should all go there at least once.

Agree above with the comments about the NTF/ROA. Constantly whinge about prize money then fail to support courses who put on meetings with decent money. The traveling time is hardly an excuse for Lambourn trainers, who send horses to Haydock or Market Rasen and anywhere north of there.

3'10 at warwick £2.2k to the winner similar to 20 years ago,its amazing anyone runs in these races.

Bookmakers don't care about it, it takes too long it, gets called off...

Big trainers and owners only care about stepping stones to the 'festivals'.

Bookmakers now run racing and will dump low jumps tracks as soon as possible.

If no one is prepared to invest in low level jumps its not going to last.

Fake and other tracks needs to encourage jumps trainers to set up in the area.

I absolutely love Fakenham, when I lived near Cambridge I hardly missed a meeting for over a decade. If any of you that enjoy National Hunt racing haven't been before then I would highly recommend a visit.
