Hi all and sorry to bother you. I am looking at a racecard for the 17:40 at Wolves, and it has 4 numbers in a rectangle BEFORE it shows the form numbers.

For example it has 1 (7) [7250] 702527 for the horse Clabare in the 17:40 in the Racing Post (not online version)

Would anyone be so kind as to say what that 4 number figure indicates?? Thanks :D

I suspect that you are looking at the RacingPost WEEKENDER cards -

- or the Four-Day DECS - in an earlier edition of the Racing Post - and  not the Final Decs in the Dily edition of the Racing Post

However/Whatever - The [7250] - is the back-reference RACE NUMBER - for the horse's previous race ......... as published in the WEEKENDER Results 'Pull-Out' and Official FORM BOOK Results[/b].
