Last night at 11.30 pm I returned to the block of flats

I live in and sat down for a few minutes in the communal

type lounge which is for the benefit of all of the residents

after a few minutes a Guy I knew came through the communal

area pushing a cycle I said hello to him and remarked that

it was a little late for him to be out on his bike, his

reply was that he was just returning from work, I then said

to him at least he would be able to have a lay in in the

morning his reply that he would be at work at 8am the next

morning astonished me.  My question is what does this chap

do forb a living.?

As for your question, any clues from the way he was dressed...? Might have a daytime job and a night one of course.

I'd have to question the employers as your supposed to have a minimum 10hr gap between finishing and starting
Report miprixabloater October 29, 2014 10:34 AM GMT
He was dressed as any normal person using a cycle would be. Cork I am posting very rarely

these days most of the people I used to exchange banter with seem to have gone. Sadly.

Not so long ago there was a good thread started about some of the missing posters on here.

You're right the forum has deteriorated in the last few years, there are still some good guys posting just less in number.
Report salmon spray October 31, 2014 10:18 AM GMT
I brought one of those up the other day. It was started 1n 2010 and was lamenting the disappearance of quite a few posters then. Ironically most of the people who contributed have themselves disappeared.

mart,

You stated in a post on here that you've placed '3 million in bets'.

I'm not disputing the number, I'm intrigued, say you are a guy late thirties / early forties you will have had approximately 25 years gambling. If you've invested £3,000,000 in 25 years that is on average £120,000 per year, £2,300+ per week. That is a large amount of anyone's income to bet, you must of been winning to do that.

I'm assuming the money available to you in your early years gambling wouldn't be the same as you have now so that £120,000 per year average figure must be substantially more now.

If you are able to invest in those numbers would it not be better to concentrate wholly on your betting and dispense with work ?
Report THE-GHOST-OF-DICKIE-BIRD November 1, 2014 9:35 AM GMT
Holywell . . . Good sums . . . but if you was arbing you could get through that amount.

If im punting my max stake is £50 . . If im arbing its as much as i can get on . . . Know where your coming from tho.

But stats dont always paint the whole picture.
Report salmon spray November 1, 2014 9:52 AM GMT
He might be a long layer on here. I suspect I stand to lose at least £10k a week, but the chances of me losing that much are miniscule. And it certainly doesn't make me a BIG player.
