That is what racing is about surely...? Anything can win.

If only that were the case though, then there probably wouldn't be so many complaints, might be best if you choose not to play it in future, you need to be in the know for the majority of races, even the showpiece Festival's are not as competitive as the English ones.

I am a mug punter in the scheme of things but I doubt BJG you make much yourself from it if you were honest.. All I'm saying is the consistency with which horses who are beaten country miles in previous starts suddenly trot up ay big odds..

Presenters never say a word.

Ps.. For your info not a fav backer

nice point

So where does that leave the form book then?
Is there any point in even looking at form in these races?
I've toned down my horse racing betting over the last few years, although still try my luck now and then.
Mostly trade nowadays, more on football than horses, there just doesn't seem to be the movement pre race any more.
As for 'corruption' in racing, who can deny it?..

Just saying don't be surprised when u get  f**ked over by a non trier, and not always that easy to spot, some have it down to a fine art to the point even your fellow punters wont see or believe.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but take the most winning NH jockey ever and consider some of his rides on get  me out of here, also consider the betting market before the race and consider its performances subsequently at say Cheltenham, consider the betting market that  day, consider how it ran, people I admire too but even these are not immune, they are simply untouchable, which is sad really, corruption. I believe its at  all levels, its a poison, and someone mentioned the hong kong jockey club coming over and cleaning it up, thats not a bad idea actually, perhaps other countries should oversea the rules of other racing countries but even the, certain people will be untouched, perhaps because they are needed for the success/longevity  of the game ironically,a nd are good people outside of racing, AND  do actually contribute a lot of money  in the first place which makes their actions even more puzzling.

You have to be a psychotic to know the results of most races, but hey I still love it.

the thing is the formbook says different things to different people.

Take Australia vs The Grey  Gatsby.

I believe Australia is the better  horse and he went too early on him but others will say he was beat fair and square by the better horse (which he was on the day, both ran on merit, both tried), I argue had he held on to him and not had him on the outside the entire race he'd have won.

Its still a lottery as we don't know how they  will be ridden and also, Jocks are only human and will make mistakes.

Graded races, group races u can have a good bet  on, everything else be careful.
