Chelmsford City Racecourse is a brand new racecourse operated by a company jointly owned by Betfred & Betsi Solutions. Racing will commence in January 2015. The company expects to gain a significant number of fixtures via the current BHA bidding process, with a best estimate of between 50-60 for the year. The final fixture list will be published in due course.
As a brand new racecourse there is no existing Bookmakers' List. The Board of Directors of the racecourse has decided that for 2015 there will be a Bookmaker Number of 8, with a Bookmakers' List of 16. The final arrangements have still to be confirmed but in any event betting positions will be directly alongside the new permanent grandstand. The racecourse will provide standard rails fittings which will be equipped with mains power. Accordingly, bookmakers will not need their own batteries.
Bookmakers that are currently registered with AGT (Administration of Gambling on Tracks) are invited to apply for one of the positions on the Bookmakers' List. Written applications should be made by email to racecourse Chairman, Joe Scanlon c/o
steve.clare@redgateconsulting.co.uk by 31st October 2014 stating the reasons why they should be considered for inclusion.
The Chairman and Board of Directors will, at their absolute discretion, consider all applicants, select the 16 bookmakers and determine their List Position number. If positions remain vacant on the Bookmaker’s List after this process the Board of Directors reserves the right to re-offer those Positions until all Positions are filled.
There will be no capital sum charged to be included on the List in 2015. The Bookmakers' List will apply for the whole of 2015. A draft of the on-course Bookmaker’s Licence which details Terms & Conditions may be found in Document Downloads.
In 2015 the Daily Betting Badge will be charged at a multiple of 5 times the public admission price for each race meeting and that will provide entry for the bookmaker and one assistant. There will be no annual marketing fee in the first year, however standard AGT fees will apply.
Bookmakers selected to be within the number will be expected to give an undertaking to attend at least 50% of the race meetings in 2015 at Chelmsford City Racecourse.
The Bookmakers' List will be posted on the AGT website and licence documents sent out by 30th November 2014.
The Chairman & Board of Directors reserve the right to amend the Bookmaker Number at any time (and to amend the Bookmakers' List to increase/decrease the number of List Positions). During next year the Chairman & Board of Directors will determine the arrangements for on-course bookmakers beyond 2015. Further information will be made available during the year.

looks like a rogue list, how many SP sample palms will be greased by the Baldy, Hills and Laddies oncourse rep.
135% books and ridiculously short priced favourites look firmly on the menu.
