The winners seem to have dried up although he's still managing to get plenty of place money. He should have a good number of reasonably well handicapped runners when the jumps season kicks off for real in a month or so's time. What he desperately needs is quality - he seems to be struggling to replace the likes of Peddlers Cross, Overturn, Cinders & Ashes, Cloudy Lane and Ballabriggs with new flag carriers.

not helped with his no 1 jock missing either - i really rate JM, especially from the front - good pace judge imo.
Appointment of W Renwick as stable no 2 jockey doesn't exactly set the pulse racing.

His runners didn't impress at the recent 2 day meeting at Perth. As other posters have noted, W Renwick seems to struggle to get horses that are pulling for their heads to settle. Even though he's now nominally the stable's number 1 jockey (in the continued absence of J Maguire) AP McCoy seems to get the pick of the rides. McCain must be desperate for Maguire's return to the saddle.

cash is king,maguire hopes to be back for the first Kelso meeting.
Maguire is going riding for Rooney primarily this season.....
