ehmm.. its his job

Only in this sport could someone with a proven track record of unsuccessful race analysis, get continually employed to talk about race analysis...
By:
it's a LOT worse on timeform radio
By:
who's on there today bull?
By:
see thats why he gets the big money "a longer layoff than Kate Bush" who needs winners when you have humour like that
By:
what the hell does he rabbit on about ?
By:
poyle vinnie placed
well done there dunno who this plonker is on timeform but he has no opinions on winners |
By:
its his job

Where are the know all chuckle brothers today
They never take a day off |
By:
If he wasn't a pundit, he'd be a Birmingham Council member. Something about money and old rope.
By:
i assume you mean the dixon twins
i welcome their prescence-particularly the baldy one who is no mug |
By:
He buggers off to Hong Kong and then returns and slips right back in. That is the racing gravy train all over
By:
hes not the only one. big money in hong kong, or was, the ccp will end that. john blance likewise but hes ok and not a tipster. gc on a par with the bedford pox when it comes to being useless
rtv do have some decent pundits but too many carp ones |
By:
Never too late for Rico to contribute- waited nine years to chip in. At least he'll sleep well tonight now it's off his chest.
By:
he,s a one off is bet maverick failed at the lot
backing laying fast pics spread betting |
By:
we all no a bet maverick the sort of bloke on the club trip toyork, haddock etc who thinks he knows more about racing than everyone else on the coach and you can hear his voice all the way there telling people what to backand all the way home telling you why theyu hadnt won and he,d changed his mind and backed the winners instead and came out well in fron t on the day
![]() ![]() it was entertaining for a while but he got carried away with it all |
By:
Just listened to him on The Sporting Life Podcast funny as ****...I love the guy.
By:
Got stuck right intey King Of Steel's owner you really have to listen.

By:
I remember him getting stuck into Lynch when he came back…..bottle unlike most
By:
Spent his life talking rubbish. He is a terrible terrible tipster. I never back anything he suggests. The most annoying thing about his commentary is after he's picked a horse and it gets thrashed he starts banging on about the winner as if he knew all about it, when in fact he never mentioned it before the rave. Talk about Captain hindsight.
By:
Talks a hell of a lot of sense inho.
By:
By:
gc is fine as long as hes not trying to analyse races. he ruins them if i hear his opinion as i have to revisit mine if im in line with his. he is hopeless
the other stuff i dont mind. likewise the bedford pox |
By:
You could add the likes of Mapletoft in as well. These people have it down to a fine art. Whatever wins they make it sound as though it was the obvious one and/or they tipped it ('as I said beforehand '). They say something positive about EVERY horse in the race so they can say this line afterwards.

By:
fortunately i dont have to endure mrs marpletoft as i cant access the garbage channel
By:
Even Mr Chamberlin took the jockey's side. I'm no fan of the owner, but it was clearly one of the worst rides in a Gp1 race; Ms Doyle fared little better either.
By:
It was not a great ride at all but for crying out loud not a sacking offence.
By:
Does he still challenge forumites to “meetings” an hour before racing in the members car park at Haydock?
