i had bit on at 5.6 last week its 3.1..its a coin flip and a decent free bet but imo this is all about getting the vote out now and the snp will do that..the BT didnt in 79 i see no reason for this to have changed
I'll be voting "Yes" and hope that 50%(+1) do also. My big worry is that the 65+ age group intend (2:1) to vote No & its that demographic which is best at turning out and voting.

I have given up with the Scots.Vote yes and leave the Union and then we will have a guaranteed Conservative party in forever. That will mean UKIP hardliners will be in charge of the country and we can send all the scavengers home. That will mean 4 million Scots returning back over the border and we will take the 20 thousand that will flee because they are useful.
The only jobs in Scotland that will be created will in local Government and hey we know what a success they make of that....

the price has come in from 11/2 to 4.0 in a week the polls have a 3 point gap, with everything they do labour seem tto be making a hash of things or are seen to be doing tory dirty work and they have no ammo left, the currency hasnt stopped the YES vote gaining momentum, then theres history to look at theSNP are extremely good at getting their vote out, the BT (labour) have never needed to in scotland in so many seatsscotland and its them thats fighting this war.

If there's one thing that absolutely isn't going to have an influence on the vote, it's each sides previous histories in getting their voters out.
In fact it'll be largely influenced by those who rarely, if ever, vote in general elections and as such have no real voting history.

Thousands of people have registered to vote in Scotland in the past week, with local registration centres saying they have received tens of thousands of applications in the last few days ahead of the Tuesday midnight deadline. Would you make all that effort to sign up just to say NO if you have the right to vote, i think more likely to say yes

i concur, the NO campaign is so tarnished with labours failings, the tories austerity and the liberal dems selling their political souls.
very hard to sell these 3 parties as entirely behind scotland when the only promise thy gave us is that we wont get a currency union, assurances about things but no concrete promises about jobs, nowt about more devolved tax raising powers its just all what we will lose. Labour have fought a largely negative campaign up here for the last 3 big election and got thumped and it looks very much like history repeating. Darling and his crew cant make one promise that is backed up by anything, the SNP have and will be held to account after the referendum n their promises for change.
plus there are rumours of splits in the labour camp with one henry mcleish being rumoured to hyjack wee Norman Lamots ship....and declare for the YES

a yes vote could well be good for most of england in the long term. the power base is far too centralised and i'm sure the english regions will begin to demand more local decision making, especially with the spectre of successive conservative governments in westminster.

...as long as a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be subjected to the lordship of the English. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

As an Englishman I fervently want the Scots to vote Yes. I admire many aspects of Scottishness however the reality is that they are a different breed and deserve the opportunity to be an independent nation.Whilst there will be some disadvantages to England there will be one overriding advantage in that the Scottish political lobby will be banished and never again will we have to endure manic idiots like Gordon Brown. In addition the centre of gravity will move further south and the chances of the Labour party being elected will be greatly diminished. All in all it'll be a win win for both great countries and i'd have thought the true odds with momentum building are around 5/4 Yes.OP you have a great bet.

If Eck wins he will blame Westminster for anything he cant deliver and if he loses he will continue to blame Westminster for anything bad just as he does now.
