Joes will shortly be part of an "exciting new BBC documentary" about betting and bookmaking, the programme will see cameras go into Joes shops and it will be aired at peak time 9pm in 2015.
As a result Joes are now searching for a variety of customers to film, so nip into your local Joes and it could be you.
Any of you know a particular shop or punter you would love to see them film, personally I would like them to go into Mick McDermott's local and let me have the outtakes.

Qualifications: for consideration of a part, and subsequent screening.
Must know how to play an FOBT - and accordingly Lose several Hundred £pounds -
- WITHOUT, then, kicking lumps out of the machine, and putting fist through glass.
Must know how to play the TeaTime 49s -
- and jump about excitedly, when getting a number up.
Must NOT be seen trying to put a £5 bet on a 10/11 chance - and, worse still, asking for Evens.

I would love to see them go into 2494 and film the hound and the shop manager discussing customer service and 37p ew accas ! Even better would be a secret camera following certain ex members of staff on a night out when they should be at work !!!
If they wanted to send people to sleep they could film Placepot Bill making his selections !

like to see how they would have edited lad brokes in bigg market in Newcastle when someone had s hit on the carpet about a yard from the counter .

The featured shop is local to me but I don't use bookmakers at all.
I have no doubt the staff on this programme will have been hand picked by the AM's, and they will all be saying what a wonderful place it is to work, personally I will be looking what colour their tongues are.

talking of the brown stuff I wish they had been cameras in my shop the other week when as I said on another thread on here we had a drunk punter in, he stank as he came in went straight to the gents then came out and got in a taxi, unfortunately as we have to clean the loos ourselves I was the one who found the brown shreddies in the bog bin, sure health and safety would have something to say.
I also wish they had been in a shop I worked in this week were the Am and the machine manager came in complaining that the vip fobt punters had stopped playing £100 a spin since the new rules, these punters are happy to put the same amount of money in the fobts just at a lesser amount each spin. the Am and machine manager told the staff there sign them up to the £100 a spin and the staff were told that the answer of they don't want to sign up isn't an option!!

my other half who cant get more than a tenner on a bet signed up to a connect card, she gets daily texts and emails promoting bets that she cant get on, so guess who gets stick for that but that's why they want them to sign up.
The best laugh I've had this week is when the Am was interviewing for a 25 hour managers assistant 6 people were due in for interviews and not one turned up, says it all.
