I actually doubt they will look at it. I think it is so commonplace now that punters, officials etc just shrug their shoulders and move on to the next race. That was a monster drift today and the insiders have had it right off.

Was a big drift at Brighton too. 4/5 out to 11/8 or so as the Hannon thing was smashed off the boards.

Correct, not quite so remarkable a drift as today but still significant.

far from suggesting that such an abject performance was predictable in the morning, you still have to wonder why this beast was put in so short after looking so bad at Brighton.

Wouldn't dispute for a second that the Racingpost forecast of 6/4 looked excessively skinny after the Brighton run but given a reproduction of the Leicester effort would be good enough to win most Chepstow maidens, I stand my observationsa that this horse being laid at over 7-1 represented an unusual drift. I see no evidence that it has been looked into by the stewards or the BHA so I guess it is time to lift up the edge of the carpet and brush it under to join all the other similar cases that are ignored in this sport.

Jockey deliberately gave it no cover and eased as quick as possible too. Deliberate.
