I seem to recall Willie Carson used to ride Chester very well, but I would guess Franny has much the better %age.
You can literally back him blind here imo

Anyone with any stats?

Cash was pretty handy around there too. Remember being at the night fixture in 2 weeks time perhaps in 87, rode a treble, decentish prices, all three making their challenges on the outside at the final bend.

I wonder how Franny Norton's stats compare around there with and without the Mark Johnston runners?

Just for you ima (though they are timeform stats, so not to be taken as gospel)

MJ 14-67 21% +40
others 25-174 14% +30

Cheers Cork Langer and whilst I didn't have any solid proof so didn't want to make any claims, my perception was that many of those winners would have been since his association with Johnston and I would have thought his overall tally of winners would have increased since then too, now that he's riding a better quality of horse for Johnston.
