Agree with Johnwayne. Doesn't have the luxury of 100k+ plus horses to work with. Not all the gambles on his horses are generated from yard or owners. Sometimes backed for no apparent reason? As with ours at Donny not so long ago! ! There must be a lot of punters out there backing his blind!

they can hardly be overbet if he's got a positive level stake at SP. He's as good as any with the resources at hand, all trainers have gambles and drifters. I agree that there may be a bit of fiddling going on but that's par for the course for smaller stables/owners, it's the only way they can make the game pay
