Racing is all about the punt. CH4 seem devoid of talking about the punting aspect to attract newbies. It`s more to do with the show of racing with betting the dirty bit that isn`t at all the core.

The Willam Hill previews with Jimbo and JF are worth a watch. At least it's pure race analysis.

Producers are indeed scum but to be fair, Royal Ascot is one of the three meetings (along with the Derby and Grand National) that are likely to attract non-punting viewers.
Usually look forward to watching Royal Ascot each year, but not so this time.
I just know Fitzgerald is gonna be on ,so will be having to use the mute button all through transmission which spoils the event for me somewhat.
Crazy that those in authority allow this grating voice to continually fill our screens day after day.
If you must put his ugly face on our screens, it would be helpful to confine him to the winter game.

@khyber kim is right. John Francome and Jim McGrath on William Hill site show how the ML should be done. Two pundits previewing the races, with one presenter chairing to move from item to item and then shut up.
I think the ML should have a fifteen minute segment for jockey bashing
