I know for a fact Tony Carroll is very confident of a huge run from this horse today. Won't mind the ground ( but any rain will help ) and is drawn in an ideal box for this dash. Likes to front run so no traffic problems envisaged. Also a course and distance winner which is a massive advantage. Must go well here. Take any price around 10/1 plus 3.25 for a place first 4 or drop down a notch for the first 5. CASPIAN PRINCE 3.15 EPSOM.
The next horse I put up last time and was unlucky not to win when getting caught on the line. The course should suit his style of running plus the ground conditions look to be ok. Expect a bold show. Take any price around 5/1 and place at around 2.00 first 4 or again drop down a notch if you can get first 5. ASHPAN SAM 5.25 EPSOM.
As CIRRUS DES AIGLES 2.40 EPSOM only has Flintshire to beat anything around 11/10 looks too tempting to miss. Any rain will help but will be having a decent bet whatever as the horse seems better than ever........GL.

I am very keen on Flintshire, as long as there is not too much wet. Nice to see you going for 10/1 shots paul, you don't need nearly all of them to win...

CDA doesn't only have Flintshire to beat and 'better than ever' is an exaggeration. Undoubtedly a high class gelding, but take away below par performances from Treve and Olympic Glory and what has CDA beaten in his last 2 outings ? Ambivalent has only 1/2L to find with CDA and the latter may not have his favoured soft to heavy ground, additionally 12f is not his best trip. I'm not suggesting he can't win, but i'm laying it at 2.06.

AREADY proven round Epsom, Caspian Prince bids to plunder a big prize for trainer Tony Carroll in the Investec Specialist Bank 'Dash' Handicap at Epsom (3.15).

Since joining Carroll from France, the five-year-old was successful over today's 5f course-and-distance, and was runner-up at Chester on his last start.

Carroll said: "He's a smashing horse and he's progressing. He clearly enjoyed the track when he won well at Epsom in April and we've got Adam Kirby back on board again.

"The draw [stall 14] gives him a chance, and although we are still learning about him, I don't think he's bothered what the ground is."

Tony Carroll can barely contain his excitement ahead of Caspian Prince's bid for glory in the Investec Specialist Bank "Dash" at Epsom on Saturday.

The progressive Dylan Thomas gelding has a record of three wins from 10 starts for his Worcestershire-based handler and he believes the rapid five-year-old is a worthy favourite over the fastest five furlongs in the world.

Carroll said: "Saturday is a big day for us given we're such a small yard and we're really looking forward to it.

"He ticks a lot of boxes as he's one from one at Epsom and he'll handle the ground better than most.

"He won on good to soft at Deauville before coming to me and it was soft when he won nicely there three starts back."

Caspian Prince is relatively lightly raced for his age and Carroll is delighted with his progression since he made his debut for the stable at Wolverhampton in December.

He added: "His form is going in the right direction as he continues on an upward curve and he's in great nick at home.

"Adam (Kirby) is a top jockey and I'm delighted to have him back in the saddle.

"He remains well treated and I'm hopeful he'll land one of these pots at some point this year."
