Anyone know if the long-threatened deluge reached Epsom yet?  Predicted downpours from 1am - any arrived ?

My guess is very little will fall at Epsom.

@RacingPost: Epsom going remains good, good to firm in places, with no overnight rain. There has been light drizzle since 6am.

BBC hour by hour epsom weather report is very good heavy bursts of rain in morning with a sunny afternoon.

Worcester..........just had a load of rain    6/10 wind

most of the entries go on the soft so shouldn't be to many non runners.

15 miles north of Worcester - just had heavy rain and thunder for the past hour or so. Eased odd now.

re Worcester I went last week the car park was a right mess bear that in mind when setting off.

Centre may well be waterlogged if they have had the rain we've just had.  Are you in attendance today ?

MET UK rain observations show a little light rain fell at Epsom, and that is it.  Probably a small amount more around 11:00.

Rain recorded here was 1.8 mm since midnight, at Ewell, close to Epsom.

On the MET UK rainfall forecast the next band of rain moving north will hit Epsom at 11:00 but seems to be thinning as it hits.  Anything could happen.  After that the day should be clear.

They predicted thundery showers and that's exactly what we've got! It is hammering down.

According to Andrew Cooper, that thundery shower emptied 5mm of rain on the track. So it's six in total now this morning.
As I type, it's dry and bright again - four seasons in one day!

Fresh wet.......is easier to go through...............these are young horses going a long distance.........the race is run at a fast pace as people try to keep position.........I can see a lot caving in wiv 2f to go

I only live a mile from Epsom and rain has just stopped and the sun has come out.....been raining all morning...generally light rain but there has been some heavy showers......

'My' map says 0% chance of rain from 1200 - 1800. So I will be disappointed if there is more. Unless its in the next 25 mins.

Epsom -  now in glorious sunshine. No significant rain. I'd be surprised if the ground did not ride on the fast side of good

just had a walk around the garden and the sun is hot now it has come out and my lawns still feel firm underfoot.

just become overcast again.....no rain but cloudy and some of those clouds are grey..

70% chance of another thunder storm i thought....

still no more rain and the clouds are moving across the sky quite quickly in the opposite direction of the downs....still overcast but mainly white clouds now
