Last time they said you have to move if its dangerous to send the other jock into a fence. Here he actively held McCoy in.

That was like undertaking a car in the slow lane by using the hard shoulder, then suddenly see a broken down car up ahead and blame the guy in the slow lane because you have nowhere to go. Madness

Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, MCLLHATTON (IRE), ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies, had interfered with RUM AND BUTTER (IRE), placed second, ridden by A.P. McCoy and that the interference had improved MCLLHATTON (IRE)’s placing. They placed RUM AND BUTTER (IRE), first and MCLLHATTON (IRE) second. The Stewards found Twiston-Davies in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he had failed to allow RUM AND BUTTER (IRE) a clear run on the outside. They suspended him for 2 days as follows: Friday 13 and Saturday 14 June 2014.
