Will the fight go the distance   N0 4/7

Not a fan of the odds on bets but this looks a steal. Can't see Groves going the distance. Both going to come out flying. Either Groves knocks Froch out early or Froch over powers him like last time way before 9th round.

Reckon that looks a better bet than trying to work out who is going to win
Report tomhunt May 30, 2014 2:07 PM BST
he didn't over power him though did he,the referee jumped in prematurely probably under instructions. Froch retires either way imo as the division is littered with good young fighters, the Smith brothers being just two and does he really want to go in with Warde again,he said it himself he broke his heart.
Report starfish and coffee May 30, 2014 2:12 PM BST
Too right Froch over powered him. Groves was gone and had the ref not stopped it it Froch would have finished him either there and then or in the next round for sure imo

The ref done Groves a huge favour and I think deep down Grove knows it

where had he gone,he was in full possession of his faculties?? ref got it wrong he should have let it carry on
Report starfish and coffee May 30, 2014 2:28 PM BST
He looked gone to me Tom. Agree the ref could have, not should have btw (that is debatable) but could have let it go on a little longer. Yet he was closer than anyone and has to react in a split second. Whether the ref should have let it go on is 50/50, but Froch over powering him and being on top at that point is surely not up for question?

Froch.
Report tomhunt May 30, 2014 2:39 PM BST
if the ref stopped every fight because the boxer 'looked gone' we wouldn't have many fights left. Groves knocked him down in the 1st was Froch 'gone' then,he certainly was wobbly for the next couple of rounds but got back into the fight,it should have gone on.Wembley has 80,000 there tomorrow, make your own mind up.

I cannot believe that in this day and age boxing matches are still allowed to happen.  It is an absolute bloody disgrace!  An arena full of people literally baying for blood, cheering on two individuals to beat each other to a pulp.  Dementia pugilistica anyone? Look at the horrendous brain damage done to Micheal Watson, what sort of life does he have now?

Where is the enjoyment is watching two people hit each other, I really do pity you, what must have happened to you that you derive any sort of satisfaction from watching violence - please, get some help.

Groves got a good hiding its as simple as that. and he looks a right prat now doesn't he, all that "im knocking him out inside 3 rounds" crap Laugh. You could see Froch was highly motivated to shut the little loud mouth up, people said him shoving groves when they did the stare down at Wembley was weakness, it wasn't, it was froch in pissed mode and wanting to take his head off. Groves got what he deserved last night and he can go back to fighting in European title matches where he belongs. Froch is world class and Groves is no better than national class, and it showed last night.

HorseBurger1989 - it's clear from your post that you love boxing, so do you mind if I ask you some questions?  Why?  Why do you like watching two people hit each other?  I've read the reports of the match and one of the boxers ended up unconscious and having to be given oxygen - is that what you want to see?  From what I've read they're not allowed to hit the kidneys or the neck any more are they - would you still watch a boxing match if they weren't allowed to hit the head, or is that fact that the match can end in a knock-out that is the main attraction?

thanks.

You should watch it and enjoy it imo, we only live once so why waste it being all nannyfied?.. my gran loves it.. "he's took his head off almost, he wont get up for a week ahahaha"... LaughLaugh
