These Pricewise ANTE-POST 'pops' - are plainly ridiculous, and often contradictory.
-------------

In last week's WEEKENDER - Tom SEGAL, said ...

Headline: -- My estimate is that LIGHT WILL WIN

'There have been mixed messages in recent days regarding the wellbeing of lat year's GOLD CUP winner Estimate and a clear sense that she is facing a race against time.....

Last year's race was weak and this year she will have to step up  to beat TAC DE BOISTRON ....
let alone get anywhere near LEADING LIGHT.

The St Leger winner was really impressive in the Vintage Crop Stakes  on Sunday, and while 2-1 is a shortish price for any horse a month before, I really do think that he should be NEARER ODDS-ON as the GOLD CUP trip is only going to improve him further.

Aiden O'Brien has an exceptional record in the race, highlighted by the great ****, and LEADING LIGHT looks AT LEAST AS GOOD as he was going into his first GOLD CUP.
-------------

No doubt - the RACING POST will shout from the rooftops if ROYAL DIAMOND Diamond turns the 3 lengths beating by LEADING LIGHT in the Vintage Crop Stakes, and on 4lbs worse terms, too, at Ascot

Conversely - Should LEADING LIGHT win the Gold Cup - then the WEEKENDER will be trumpeting ...
- 'Tom told you a month ago - and at 2-1, aswell'.

Then - there will, in probability, be the distinct possibilty of a different selection for the Gold Cup - in the RACING POST Royal Ascot Preview, a few days before, the meeting -

- followed by the, again, possibility of yet another different selection - in PRICEWISE, on the day of the race ...

- AND - who can ever forget the EVEN DIFFERENT SELECTION(from the Newspaper PRICEWISE
- on PRICEWISE EXTRA in this year's Cheltenham Gold Cup?
------------

'Cake and eat it' - comes readily to mind.
