Genuinely looked like it was doing its best to find trouble, especially when they split up a bit

Loads of horses find trouble at Goodwood as that's the nature of the course and isn't helped at times by the draw, field size and position in the race.

The horse pulled early too and if he had stayed were he was instead of trying to edge out and find a run, you can bet your life there would be posts on here asking why didn't he edge out to find a run.

If it was me who was stating the obvious then you have to ask why the need for some of the other comments in the thread?

your defending fallon, ok we get it
my point is this
it was simply not a good ride
even putting the course in the equation.

What I said applies to every jockey at Goodwood and not just Fallon.

I personally don't think it was a bad ride if bad means he was at fault as that clearly wasn't the case. The problems were due to what I have already mentioned such as the draw, the horse pulling hard early, the field size and not getting runs at Goodwood which Fallon or any jockey has little control over, so don't see how it's a bad ride on that score.
