I once went to 3 Football matches on the same day... just because it could be done - and it took my fancy.
Boxing Day - late 1990s 1. Sheffield Wednesday - 12 noon kick-off 2. Hudderfield - 3-00pm kick-off - just over 20 miles - Stadium to Stadium with Hillsborough being on the Huddersfield side of Sheffield - and likewise at Huddersfield 3. Blackburn v Man City - 7-45 kick-off I even had time for a 'sit-down meal' between Huddersfield and Blackburn. |

I once went to Wandsworth dogs on a Bank Holiday morning, races in the afternoon (possibly Hurst Park) and back to Wandsworth at night.
Slightly different, football in afternoon, speedway in evening and then to the pictures. Other times often Chelsea Football, Stamford Bridge dogs (early Start) and then off to White City. |
