They must know what they've boosted surely, unless they've got some rule that states up to £20 or something. Write to them and tell them to review their video or you'll go to trading standards.

By:
What reason did they give you
1 Tough we don't keep our promises 2 You must of read it wrong 3 Boster void, as you had more than boster stated, read the small print 4 Computer said no |

By:
All these companies price boosts are to a max stake. Like pires says probably £25.
By:
His 1st £25 should be at 7/4 then surely?
By:
You would have thought so but one things for sure they wouldnt lay it for a ton.
By:
their small prints probably reads "we only honour price boosts on losers, thanks for your custom......"

The only thing you can get £100 on in betfred are the roulette machines if you thick enough to play them.

i email betfred and this was there reply i will never go in one of there shops again.
Thank you for your email. In order to receive a price boost on a dog you must either take the price or write clearly on your slip that it is for the price boost. I have looked at your slip and there is no intention of wanting the price boost on your slip, the only things that are written on the slip being the time and track and selection. |
By:
Hahaaa flippin Haaa........good joke! (?). |
By:
lol isn't it obvious you want the price boost without telling them ?
By:
if you are price sensitive why didn't you write 7/4 on the slip when you placed the bet - you ve asked for SP by not doing this.
By:
Indeed.
By:
ive done the the price boost hundreads of times and never been ask to take the price they seem to make up the rules as they go along am so mad......
By:
I do his pushes regularly. Always ask the staff to put the price on. Never had a problem getting paid.
Apart from when I had £50 on 3/1 with 15% Rule 4. Was offered £170, said I wanted £177.50 & that's what I got. Limits were £200 until Chelt when they changed to £100. |
By:
i would have thought you have to ask for the boosted price when you put the bet on or you dont get it
By:
Some people definately need to get out more don't they? - what a life.........................
By:
Much sympathy - but, life is what you make it - as long as you're happy.

Booster prices are entered differently in the till...With Betfred you have no chance to overturn the mistake...Write to the gambling commission, Betfred should be ensuring that they are conducting themselves in a fair and open way, one of the licensing objectives
By:
If he didn't ask for a price and it appeared to be an s.p bet, what mistake are you referring to?

By:
what if the dog had returned 15/8 would you still be wanting 7/4 , no chance if its not on the ticket you dont get it
By:
All this discussing a disputed bet shows what a rancid firm they are.

By:
should have wrote the price down.........end of story
By:
Saddo, just read the post again, your right...great industry mugging

The only time the bald knocker ever lays a ton is when the fragrant Mo bends over and that has not happened since 1998...

By:
Limits were £200 until Chelt when they changed to £100.
it was changed for Aintree because "Fred wanted to make sure that more people got on" to be fair the £100 or £200 took the p!ss out of Billies £25 max bet on boosts and Laddies £50 on lock-ins |
By:
Or give the manager a drink in your local shop and get on 3 x £100, gutted really used to be 3 x £200

betfred are bad but the worse bookmaker on the high street is william hill give the punters noting but take everything i went in there on saturday you got no chance as a punter in there all there botherd about is cartoon racing and machines all the action on one screen so punter can see there horses going down to post and only put the race on at the last posible minute there all the same give the punter nothing.

went into corals just at the top of tottenham court road the other day. i was watching a few races and waiting for a race to come on. i'd been there about 15 minutes when a girl approaches me and says "you are going to have to have a bet or leave the premises". I just replied "ok", with no intention of having a bet until my fancy came on and she goes on "I mean you've been in here 15 minutes and had no bet". I just replied "ok" and off she went. About 20 mins later I put my bet on and it wins. only won 60 quid but i had the most smug look on my face as she was paying out.
a few months ago i was in betfred near central london. tried to have a 100 ew double on the last two favs on a wolverhampton card. they had good chances. indian chap made the phone call and then told me he would only take 50ew. They both won and when I went back to collect he told me that it was him that decided not to take the bet, not the person on the phone. said he got a call after the first race from head office thanking him. i didnt even bother taking it up with him although i did point out that if i wanted 200 quid on a fobT he wouldn't have a problem but if i want it on a horse he wouldn't take it. his reply "would you?". he told me "id advise you to change your writing if you bet in another shop". i should have recorded that conversation and put it on youtube. |

Listen to this one..
I went into a William Hill "betting shop" the other day.. Stood mesmorised in front of a "bank of screens" the biggest must have been smaller than my PC at home and none showed any early prices but just rubbish.. How does that Scottish perverted half-wit Ralph Topping stay in a job.. Put even Biscuits33 in charge and they could double profits.. |
By:
billies don't even have prices on half the races in the shop until 12 , yet on line they are just after 9am , they then open up the book leaving the crumbs and 9/10 the early prices are shorter than opening show , the stan james bookie near me gives you 1st show up to 250 not many bookes do that nowdays , paddy still do best price on singles no idea what the restriction is but it must be a fair amount as i once put 600 on a horse took 11/8 and it won at 11/4 a was delighted , the ideal situation is to bet when the opening show comes as a lot off horses shorten , but not easy !
