I've noticed a few people saying they have had legitimate bets cancelled by Ladbrokes Betting Authorisation Centre (BAC) after being issued with a bet receipt in a shop.
A word of advice - do not hand back your receipt to the shop staff.
If the bet wins, and they tell you it's a void bet, please email me at the following address and I will help you receive full payment.
They decide they don't want to lay the bet even though their shop staff have already processed it,taken the money for it, and handed the receipt to the customer.
In other words, it's a valid bet.
Then they try to cancel it.
Happens on bad each way bets a lot in my experience.

Ladbrokes have gone from the sharpest horse-racing operation to the worst , my friend had a large bet at aintree when the girl behind the counter took the bet but forgot to put the price on the slip , she then put the price on and rescanned the slip , they now want to pay the bet at sp which is £1080 less than it should be , we will see them at ibas and the small claims court if necessary.

cheers paul, you probably saw my post on it also.the "problem" with my bet was that it sprung everywhere very shortly after i backed it.they then decided they didnt want it.
i wonder what they would say if i walked back into a shop after placing a bet and asked them to void it as it was drifting like a barge??

Been trying this for years. About 6 years ago I had 200 ew one. Manager came out said head office have voided that. Ok I said hanging onto the ticket. Horse unplaced, handed in my ticket got my £400 back.

Its the so called late bets that get me,this happens so often they must have some amount of sleepers.
I had 100 quid at 5/1 Lord Alfie in the chase at Wexford last night,I am wary of them because of the numerous other instances so was pretty sure they weren't off when I placed the bet, when I went to collect they gave me my money back.
I am not blaming the girl behind the counter its company policy but had Lord Alfie lost they were keeping my 100 quid.
The old adage if you can't win you can't lose doesn't apply to Ladbrokes.

the "late" bet scam is atrocious wildman,i've been caught out by it many moons ago when i still used a ladcrook shop,in fact for anyone still using them its worth taking all losing slips back to the counter.it would be dead easy for them to incorporate a suspend note into their software system to flag up no more bets but since its a win/win for them why would they end that particular scam.

Why not contact that crusading 'journalist' Dave Yates at the Mirror - he's sure to want to expose this Ladbrokes scam.
Oh, hold on a second, he's employed by them...

I seem to recall, in the not too distant past, being in Ladbrokes shop and they were encouraging people to back after the off (SP only) so the "off" could be a moving line.
