The favourite Barton Gift has more on his plate this time around but despite the 10lbs rise in the handicap should give another good account of himself in this handicap, but at 15-8 on my ratings he only just comes out above UNION JACK D'YCY for Venetia Williams who can be backed @ 12-1 which is amazing price in this Handicap as he is currently the outsider of 8!! This price is based more on the two runs over 29F at Warwick, when in all honesty he is better rated on his performance over 26F which would be more of a guide to this handicap. That day he was running off 116, today he is 121 but that 116 rating he was unknown of that mark and with the ground Soft underfoot, he could defy his odds IMO

Barton Gift 138, Union Jack DyCy 137, Beforeall 135, Tullyraine 134, Boyfromnowhere 125, Titchwood 119, Lambro Lad 115, Makethemostofnow 108

Union was well beaten at 26f in both those longer races at Warwick.

This is the only race I have an interest in today having laid Barton Gift. I thought I had five running for me but would be very happy to see your selection romp home for you! Good luck

The fav might be the only one who will stay and his jumping is fairly sound. The Curtis horse has a decent chance if it ran to it's very best but it is carrying a lot of weight and they are trying the blinkers instead of cheekpieces. It is likely that Boyfromnowhere and Tulyraine will set the race up for something else. Most of these have issues with their jumping.

Not fluent would put me off backing Union Jack.

The fav looks the one to back by default. Those wins at Chepstow and Exeter were good efforts, not something that can measured numerically. It is an improving horse that can jump well and has a low weight on bottomless ground.

It's amazing how well the second ran there considering the comments about him not going on the ground.

Silly price for a horse with 50% completion rate last four races.

It was far worse than that Suffolk1.
He'd never even run in a Class 3 race before and was going into it up 10lbs
He'd got plenty to prove anyway.

That's not after timing Big muff...

Aftertiming is when you claim you've backed a winner after the event.

I haven't claimed anything.

All that I've said can be checked.

Aftertiming is being wise after the event, whether it's claiming you backed it, explaining why it couldn't have won etc.

Glossy nobody has done any of that.
