could someone please tell me where i could get a copy of this book as ive tried several bookshops and libraries without success.

Several on Amazon, new and used.
Occurs fairly regularly on Ebay - Hardback £20 ish, Softback sold for £13 recently. One overpriced one on there currently. So best to wait on there |

Can be obtained on Amazon for £19.95. Very popular book and eery time this question is posted on the forum the price has gone up. Waterstones sell it but it is £46.05. Just put the book title and author in search and the options will appear. There is a bookseller that stands at some Midlands racecourses who specialises in these sort of book and might have it. I have seen him at Leicester, Hereford & Worcester in the past.

Salmon - I wasn't going to say that, but you did and I agree. Mind, it still has stuff that you would be hard pushed to find elsewhere. I am continually surprised at how often I refer to it when memory fails.
