I wish they way you can now switch your current accounts now, could be done with Exchange accounts' as the numbers rang to transfer over the penny would drop.

I was only sorted out because I had to resubmit my withdrawal requests again and wasn't able to do so until late in the evening. Imagine you made a withdrawal last Friday, went on holiday Saturday for a fortnight and came back expecting your funds in your bank. No chance, it would be sitting back in your Betfair account and you'd be totally baffled. Very unprofessional.

I withdrew £500 , only for bank to send it back 4 days later . Not happy and still not sorted , poor poor show

On Friday 21st March we experienced a technical issue with our payments platform processing deposits from customers. While we were attempting to reconcile these issues with the banks we took the precaution of suspending withdrawals over the weekend. Following resolution of the problem we re-enabled withdrawals for over 99.5 % of customers yesterday afternoon. We have a very small number of accounts which are still impacted and reconciliation work is on-going.  We are working to restore normal service on these accounts as soon as possible.

I would like to personally apologise for the lack of communications on this subject over the weekend. I would also like to reiterate that all customer funds are held in a trust fund independent of Betfair so we can assure you that your funds are safe.  I can confirm that no customers will be impacted financially as a result of the technical issue that occurred.

If I were a major shareholder in Betfair I would be furious at how they have failed to respond to the thousands of complaints on here.

You would think the management team would have at least put out some sort of response,if only to reassure their customers.

From my experience,this is typical behaviour for British managers. Same as the RUK fiasco.

They simply don't seem to look at things from a customer's viewpoint.

Well i have phoned once and was told be sorted in 24 hours max  ( that was 16 hours ago ) . Shall phone after and be expecting a better update then " we are working on it and be 24 hours max "

The problem for betfair is that they are over the top greedy yet they can't provide even an acceptable level of service. If they were in a competitive industry they wouldn't last 5 minutes. Everything they do is a disaster.

Dear Sirs,

You suspended my account and when I enquired why you told me that you were having deposit problems where funds were not leaving my bank and being received by you. In order to unsuspend my account I had to authorise you to debit my account balance with you by £1000 with the assurance that the £1000 was in fact still with my bank.

The money (in 4 amounts) HAS left my bank.

I therefore require you to recredit my account with the £1000 you have stolen from it.

If this is not done by 5pm today my solicitors will be instructed.

I have now been able to withdraw some funds, it took some personal assistance from BF.
Thank you for dealing with it.

It is nice to see a message trying to acknowledge the problem. I think that some understanding of what a 'weekend' is wouldn't go amiss, however.
I'm in no doubt that it will be sorted for everyone before too much longer.

It is hoped that someone in control at BF understands how frustrating and annoying this whole situation has been.

Kitten, why on earth did you trust BF when they claimed the money was still with your bank. Didn't you contact your bank to verify this, or wait until the money had reappeared in your bank account?
