anyone still having chrome crashes?

yep every day pain in the rump piece

ok here

i only use it for lv - seems ok - but when closing it down after racing it takes forever and i have to force a shut down

never had any chrome crashes here

Had to use it when changed to BT broadband recently.
BT home page insisted on an update browser update
and Internet 9 wouldn't work.
Downloaded Chrome but it says it hasn't fully downloaded
Probably due to windows Vista.
It does open my BT mail & account stuff though.

i've got vista too

never had a problem at all until last couple of months was fav browser but bl00dy annoying now

perhaps time to get rid of vista

heard mixed reviews of latest windows though

Would change computer but write ups and mates say windows 8 is difficult

I have 2 versions of chrome here and never had any problems - but I don't usually use it for in-running.

its like clockwork once every evening around 6 -7 and sometimes another time in the afternoon

all the pages are restored instantly when opening it up again but i just wonder whats going on

and again

Bizarre. Never experienced that before.

ben happening to me for 6 weeks,4-5 times a day

running slow and never refreshes automatically so frustrating ,

Worst thing about chrome for me is syncing of favourites. Do some saving / deleting on one appliance and when you turn the other puter on, anything you have moved in a folder is duplicated and all the deletions return. Had to go through 180 notebook hosses twice.

noticed another thing recently a lot of pages open and it has a message 'do you want this translated into spanish'

have tried to delete the user account but it doesn't seem to work , i can still sign in and there is no icon there for accounts to click on and delete like is shown in examples of doing this.

if its the user account then reinstalling doesn't affect this.

time for another browser if i don't get some resolution to this soon.

lots of problems with chrome last few months

Have you tried chrome with an incognito window? If that works, you may have some bad js or css cached. Have you looked at chrome's own task manager (off the tools menu)?

i checked to see if there were any conflicts and none were listed

i read somewhere that the account itself may have become corrupted so to add a new user and delete the old one

i have done this and lost adblocker which was running, its not just disabled its gone now.

all my old bookmarks that had been deleted are back

very confusing, see how it goes today no crashes yet but often ok till late afternoon/evening.

Stridingedge try this,go to triple bar,top right corner of screen,click on settings,scrowl down to bottom of page,click on advanced settings,
again scrowl to bottom of page,reset browser settings,gets rid of a load of cr@p.someone on another fred pointed this out to me and helped considerably.

i have looked at various cures on the net

its strange all i was trying to do was delete my user account and get a new one this morning. what has happened is that old bookmark bar has returned with bookmarks that were deleted months ago, adblocker is no longer installed. its like its been reset to a few months ago.

it looks how it used to look so fingers crossed it wont crash today (it has crashed every day for about 2 months)

Over about the last six weeks I've continually had "page(s) unresponsive" messages - I'm having to close down and run cleaners all the time which is hugely irritating.

I use 'Window Washer' & 'CCleaner' as well as 'Microsoft Security Essentials' and they used to perform OK so I suspect it's something to do with Google Chrome as I've read a few things on here.

Internet Explorer is just appallingly slow for me and Mozilla Firefox has been useless since one of their alleged 'upgrades' (or rather sabotage) a couple of years ago.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to combat this?

i thought i'd got rid of my user account but it just wont go away

think i've managed to delete the account at last, have read they can become corrupted.

i didn't realize that it takes a few days for them to delete it properly, didn't think i'd done it properly as i could still sign in.

once i can't sign in again and its properly disabled i'm going to uninstall and then reinstall. then try and set up a new account.

if this doesn't work then that's it, when deleting account there was a message screen asking why i was leaving. i explained the situation so perhaps they may get back (though wouldn't bank on it.)
