I've been contacted by several people who have had a Rule 4 deduction made from ante post bets placed on the Neptune today at Cheltenham (1,30)

Note to Ladbrokes: Please stop ripping off the dwindling number of punters you have and stop referring them to IBAS.

Much better to know the well established rules and settle bets accordingly.

Unbelieveable what's happening to this Company, now a total embarrassment.

Parasites.

I was walking in the countryside on Monday and stumbled into a bog. Rotting, putrid leaves and filthy stagnant water.

If I was in charge of this country I'd round up every single Ladbrokes senior manager/ceo/etc and throw them in that bog.

They CAN'T Rule 4 any bets until the final declarations have been made.

They can't, but they have.

I've seen the proof.

Yes I've heard that too Paul. Sadly they have some knowledgeless staff working for them at present. We need more exposure of their incompetence for the firm to realise what a total SHAMBLES they are at present...... Complete Jokers !

Nothing in their rules allows them to make a Rule 4 deduction to bets placed before final decs are made.

But that hasn't stopped them making one.

Did they go - 'Non-Runner = No bet'?

If so - Does that THEN affect Rule4 ?

I know that if it is a 'balls out' Ante-Post bet, then that they CANNOT - NO way.

But just wondering about a 'Non-Runner = No bet' concession scenario.

onlooker NRNB is a concession - END OF , Ante Post bets simply CANNOT be Rule 4'd

on the other hand i had £50 on sire on sunday @ 9/4 and they payed 11/4 as a price boost.

When a firm goes NRNB, they invariably clip all their prices and have a massive theoretical overround in their favour. That's to allow for horses not turning up. You can't then deduct a Rule 4 unless the bet is placed after final decs.

Unless you are Ladbrokes.

For the benefit of anyone who has been deducted a Rule 4 from a bet on the race prior to final decs stage:

When Ladbrokes steer you in the direction of IBAS, tell them you will not be doing so but will instead be pursuing the matter through the courts unless they pay you in full within 48 hours.

You will be paid long before 48 hours have elapsed.

Another cowardly firm who bang on about all their "great offers", then make up rules to claw a bit of money back when they have their pants taken down. Pathetic.

Had £50 on Faugheen at 7/2 in one of their shops on Monday morning, and got paid in full a couple of hours ago.

Odd, because this was from their Best Price All Chelt Favs offer between 9am and 10am that day. If there were any bets from which you'd think they might try a Rule 4, it would have been one of these.

I got paid at 4/1 no problems as part of one of their lock-ins last week - which was a shame as I was ready for a fight (verbal of course)

Same here, toffee.Grin

Was on a roll after yesterday morning's ruck, when they'd settled my £50 at 6/5 on Quevega from the same offer at SP.
