Yorkie, I consulted some of my colleagues about this issue(these are top psychologists who have worked with some of the most deranged people in the UK). Because of patient confidentiality they couldn't reveal names of people they have treated who have the "copy and paste" disorder but many referred to "patient Z" who is a well known and chronic sufferer. Apparently, the disorder is inbuilt in some people, it's primeval, a response when under stress. It originates from when humans (and near equivalents in Z's case) lived in caves and wore animal skins (the modern day equivalents are bed-sits and underpants). What happens is the sufferer (let's call them Zodiac for simplicity) when constantly being beaten by a superior being reverts to copying and pasting as some sort of attempt to ease the humiliation. Because they are usually (in this case definitely) of low intelligence, they cannot offer an original and witty response so offer instead a copy and paste something (usually drivel). I hope this helps to understand his behaviour. I did ask the eminent doctors for a suggested treatment to cure the disorder and, to a man, they responded that a sharp crack on the head with a piece of 4" by 2" should make a difference. |
