It's different world ....http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/horseracing/10394417/Channel-4s-Alice-Plunkett-saved-from-blunderland-by-quick-thinking-dry-cleaner.html
After a frosty night, Alice borrowed a car from her mum to nip up to the course to check it was safe to run. The boys (William - he's quite thin you know - Ollie and Tom) all stayed at home with granny because it was so cold. The pointer ran without great distinction, and after a somewhat frenetic day divided, as usual, between horses and small children, the Fox-Pitts finally got back home to Dorset.
Fast forward about three weeks. Christmas has been and gone. Alice, by now banned from driving for speeding, gets a call from her ma. "You won't believe what happened over Christmas, Alice," she said. "The car was stolen. Just checking you haven't borrowed it at all, have you?"
"No, Mum," replied Alice. "Not since the point-to-point three weeks ago." And then there was a brief silence before that tinkling sound of a penny dropping.
Celia Plunkett promptly drove the short trip to what is a point-to-point course three days a year and a working farm for the other 362 to find, randomly parked among a field of sheep, the Plunkett second-string vehicle, a white, battered Subaru - with the keys still in the ignition

If a story we heard this week is correct, Emma Spencer of Channel 4 racing needs to pay a little more attention when people are speaking to her, or perhaps pick up a history book.
One of her colleagues was recounting his holiday: to Aspen to ski, to Germany to visit his sister, then to fulfil a lifetime's ambition and visit Auschwitz.
"For more skiing?" asked Emma.

There was a time when Alice Plunkett featured so often in this column that she earned the sobriquet 'the mistress of mishap'. Incidents and accidents included a head-on car crash on the drive down to her parents' farm - the other driver was her father. -------------
In the ordinary, everyday people, world - That would surely be 'a million'.....
But - she has to be a 1.01.
Yes - Deltâ - I remember that. From the same story ...http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/horseracing/2290317/Alice-Plunkett-the-mistress-of-mishap.htmlThere was a time when Alice Plunkett featured so often in this column that she earned the sobriqu
I along with just about everyone I speak to fails to understand how Channel 4 use Alice Plunkett( who's horse knowledge is eventing and show jumping)when she has such terrible TV presenting skills instead of Alistair Down who was always so fantastic for NH racing and especially at Cheltenham. As for Tanya...well words fail me ..Channel 4 purposefully select people that annoy the life out of viewer, their racing coverage is now lamentable compared with Racing UK.

You would truly have to travel far to find two uglier mares. Scrunkett typifies the "Woofety Snarf" type of Show Jumping Bore. Tanyahide is just simply out of her depth.
