Do any of you have a specific gambling angle you use?

I don't bet that big now due to a bad day with a huge tip I had. Everyone had loads on and then the ride was very very suspect.

Got burnt so just can't bring myself to go big.

I look at the 'form of race' bar on the ATR form for each horse. Helped me work out yesterday to place lay Eton Rifles and it works surprisingly well

When I first started betting 28 years ago an old man said to me "bigger the field bigger the certainty" and I thought to myself "wtf old man are you talking about, bigger the field bigger the lottery" but after a few years of betting I came to understand what he meant and big field handicap chases 14+ runners to me are where the money is to be made.

For me I'm more instinctively when comes to my selection what i have learned from this year is that its better to stick  to either flat or jumps and not be tempted into betting on anything else.I will look at race and trainers jockey bookings and handicap marks for some horses and breeding of the horse.so its all down to each person preference and amount of time they have to study each race.I do find it harder to lay horses than back them myself but that more preference as ive been a backer since day one and after working in stables for to long for nothing

yeh - I don't tend to back favs on the whole but Standing Ovation at 11/2 and 5's was way too good to pass up. Unfortunately it was my only winner thanks to Lucy making a mess of my main bet of the day.

i have realised that my main strength is to monitor the betfair forum and read any posts written by the one that calls himself money tree or money tree cost me thousands ,then i do the exact opposite of what he suggests to do.i find that you have virtually no loosing runs doing this.

the main thing to remember with any betting is to make sure the maths are in your favour........only ever bet with bookmakers...and always bet each way....when the place odds are in your favour........let betfair pick your selections for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would also state never bet when made angry by a bad ride from a bet lost or if in a bad mood that will only cost you more through out the day even the whole month and for some whole year.
