Gutted , had 100 ew on here on Simonen, never bothered to check the place details, why should i.?, i've been betting for 35 years and always thought a 26 runner handicap was first 4..

No, its my fault, i should have checked to see if it was only 1-2-3. in a 26 runner handicap,

Mind you, give betfair their due, they refunded me 100 quid for the place..grateful for small mercies

yes pup, and a top 19 in specials, but the standard terms on the race are top 3
I just checked my B365 account, AntePost in August, Simenon 33/1 £20 EW I got paid out on first four places.
Monday night, I fancy Simenon to place at least, £30 place. And that is a loser, first three places only sonny, I know you should check but 26 runner handicap...

I just queried this with B365 and they apologised for the confusion...
The bet has been placed on the Australian Tote, therefore it has the Australian placed term[]s of first 3 applicable. However I can understand this was not made clear on the this market.
and they have now paid me out...

Why should BF have refunded your place bet reculver? Because you plead ignorance? I don´t believe it.
How can people be having a go at Betfair? The local place terms are 1/2/3 so that is the standard place market. Other place markets are available.
Did people not think how generous the place prices were on the standard place market? I did and that's why I had a place bet on Simenon.

That is a very generous refund by Betfair reculver. I cannot believe they did that when terms clearly stated. Are they refunding everyone who complains, surely not!
