If i want to bet into the win/show/place pool through a site like William Hills are the pool guides declared to a $1 or $2 stake? For some reason i seem to remember tote prices being quoted to a $2 stake and i'm not sure if this was the American pool system or the French? The online advisers are worse than useless!! "What is the Breeders Cup please?" Oh dear

I'm fairly sure it is to a $2 stake.

Don't forget you can bet into US tote pools on here if that takes your fancy.

Thanks King Mambo, hadn't realised that. I'll see if the Betfair market is any clearer. Onlooker it wasn't the terminology i was struggling with more to do with whether dividends are returned to a $1 or $2 stake
