McCoy stands at 1.78 m (5'10") which is relatively tall for a jockey. In order to maintain a suitable racing weight, McCoy must keep his weight down to 63.5 kg (10 stone). McCoy's natural weight, based on his physiology, should be about 75 kg (one and a half stone more).[4] McCoy's diet, similar to many jockeys, typically involves a strong mug of sugary tea for breakfast and one slice of toast (depending on the weight requirements for the afternoons racing). Breakfast is often followed by sweating in the bath for one hour. At the races, McCoy's lunch will again involve another cup of tea and a couple of jelly babies. After racing, McCoy eats dinner early to give his food time to digest. His evening meal commonly consists of lean meat or fish. He only eats dinner four times a week. McCoy will sweat for an hour in the bath before bed.
Great diet for 21 years.

Not many people interested in the "where" market. Only small money there, but Plumpton next Monday or Exeter next Tuesday look obvious choices. He should pick up the bulk of the remaining 11 during this week (weather permitting) - say a couple at the weekend and the rest must come at those easy meetings. Even if he has a couple of dry days this week, he could easily ride 3 or 4 at either of those two.

Held in very high regard by the Nicky Henderson team but still a maiden after three career starts. Irish Cavalier a formidable rival but Snake Eyes looks the sort to show significant improvement at some stage - perhaps starting this afternoon. Forecast price: 11/4
1510 Stratford: Very Stylish
Very in and out and threw in a stinker when last seen at Stratford in July but capable of making his presence felt in this grade on a going day and the form of the Jonjo O'Neill yard is a definite plus. Forecast price: 7/1
1610 Stratford: Bob Keown
Plenty of promise when second in an Irish point-to-point last year and rated a bright prospect by connections but this looks a warm maiden hurdle with a host of unexposed rivals from top yards. Forecast price: 4/1

A bloody stupid diet in this day and age. Other sports now have proper nutrition advice, which is why, for instance, footballers now eat pasta or chicken rather than steak washed down with a few pints after the game. I find it hard to imagine any professional dietician would recommend jelly babies.
Racing is still stuck in the 20th Century.

McCoy remains on the 3,991-winner mark as he heads to Northern Ireland for two rides at Down Royal on Friday.
He will first ride Dear Boss for trainer Arthur Moore in the Allianz Handicap Hurdle, before getting the leg up on the horse he makes the journey for, Jessica Harrington's triple Grade One winner Jezki, in the WKD Hurdle.

The 18-times champion jockey was out of luck on the first of two rides at the Northern Ireland circuit, but made no mistake in the Grade Two WKD Hurdle over two miles.
His task was, however, made pretty easy as Jezki proved a most willing ally.
Jessica Harrington's five-year-old, owned by JP McManus, was a three-times Grade One scorer last season and carried on the good work here.
Profiles Jezki (IRE) Gambling Girl With no-one keen to make the running, it was left to McCoy to cautiously take the initiative aboard the 2/9 favourite.
It might not have been an ideal scenario, but Jezki jumped with typical efficiency from the outset.
But such was the soporific early pace, it was no surprise to see most of the runners tightly bunched with two flights remaining.
Flaxen Flare even jumped the penultimate hurdle in unison with McCoy's partner, but Harrington's inmate soon blunted that rival's challenge along the home straight.
The Paul Nicholls-trained Caid Du Berlais then charged into contention, but he had no match for Jezki's finishing kick and was comprehensively defeated.
McCoy said: "He's a very smart horse and it's nice to have a horse to have plans with. It was a good start in a muddling race and I was always happy with him."
Harrington said: "I'm absolutely delighted to get that out of the way. There was no pace and he had to do his own donkey work. He did it without much effort and he settled very well. He's grown up and Tony rode him out with hands and heels.
"The Morgiana Hurdle (Punchestown, November 17) is definitely an option because he needs match practice if he is going to take on Hurricane Fly and Our Conor.
"It was his first run of the season so he's bound to improve. He'll improve purely in a fast-run race. He answered every call."
Sky Bet reacted by cutting the winner by two points into 8/1 for the StanJames Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.
It was an especially good day for the County Kildare handler as stablemate Gambling Girl (11/4) overcame a final-flight gaffe to claim Grade Three honours in the EBF Lough Construction Ltd Mares Novice Hurdle.
Harrington said: "I think she could be special. She made a bad mistake and went away again. She went long at the last and when she recovered, she went away from the second.
"She did a couple of very good pieces of work and she is a big mare so she'll only improve. The owners bred her so now she has got them black type.

After riding Jezki to victory at Down Royal and a double at Wetherby on Saturday, AP McCoy heads to Carlisle where he has six booked rides.
13.00: Bernardelli
Burdened with top-weight for his handicap debut but his reappearance second was as well as he has run in his short career and he's entitled to come on for both the outing and the experience. Forecast price: 9/2
13.30: Holywell
Developed into a very smart staying hurdler last season but this trip should provide an adequate test of stamina for his chase bow. He faces four decidedly useful rivals, however, and this is no penalty kick. Forecast price: 4/6
14.05: Oscar Fortune
Carries a penalty for his debut win over hurdles which won't make life easy but he beat a useful rival that day and his form in bumpers was above average so he could prove up to the task. Forecast price: 15/8
14.40: Tap Night
Talented second-season chaser whose principal early season target is the Paddy Power Chase at Cheltenham. Likely to improve for this reappearance but is well treated at the weights in this heat and has leading claims.Forecast price: 6/4
15.45: Bescot Springs
Comes into this race in good form and remains on a competitive mark but his losing run stretches back 14 starts to 2011 so he's going to have to pull a little more out of the hat. Forecast price: 9/2
16.15: Red Lion Rock
Has an excellent strike-rate when teaming up with this trainer and this three year old's a likely-looking type on paper. The market may well be revealing with regard to his chances. Forecast price: 6/4

After riding doubles on both Saturday and Sunday, AP McCoy is within touching distance of the landmark as he heads to Kempton Park for three booked rides.
13.05: Chalk It Down
Hasn't quite gone on as might have been hoped for after winning on debut but not disgraced on his hurdling bow and could well build on that run. This does look a fair race, however, and he may need further in time. Forecast price: 10/1
13.35: Captain Cutter
Very highly regarded bumper winner from a top yard. Should know his job and looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to open his hurdling account at the first time of asking. Forecast price: 5/6
15.45: Foundation Man
Only showed a modicum of promise in bumpers (beaten favourite both starts) and over hurdles but came within a whisker of a maiden success on his first run over fences. Up in the weights and up in trip but open to improvement and looks sure to go well. Forecast price: 7/4

What a sad boring cretin you are....... fortunately I've had the pleasure of meeting normal people from Nottinghamshire !
I would hazard a guess that you're about 45 going on 12 our youth !

After riding doubles on each of the last three days, AP McCoy is within touching distance of the landmark as he heads to Exeter for three booked rides.
13.50: Flemenson
Irish point winner who beat a useful sort on his hurdling bow at Uttoxeter. Penalised as a result, however, and this is traditionally quite a strong hurdle so he faces no easy task. Forecast price: 5/2
13.35: Keen Eye
Has been well held on both starts to date and there are some very smart prospects in this field so it would be surprising to see him trouble the principals. Forecast price: 14/1
15.50: Well Hello There
Useful hurdler at his best who has adapted well to chasing. Took a tumble on his return from a summer break, however, which may have affected his confidence and this is a competitive race. Forecast price: 7/2

Also jocked up for one for Jonjo at Towcester which I still think is a much more likely destination - chance of him being at Muss on Friday with Fontwell being off though....

AP McCoy still needs two winners to record his landmark success after drawing a blank at Exeter on Tuesday. The Champion Jockey has just two rides at Chepstow.
13.10: El Macca
Well bred youngster representing top connections and the market may well prove to be the best guide to his chances of making a winning racecourse debut. Forecast price: 5/2
14.40: Mission Complete
Proved very disappointing over this course and distance last time out but he had been in good form prior to that and he may well be able to bounce back in what is, arguably, a less competitive race. Forecast price: 14/1

The remarkable 18-time champion jockey moved within one of the landmark when Minella For Steak struck at Chepstow on Wednesday and has two booked rides at the Northamptonshire track.
He's aboard Church Field in the Agetur UK Handicap Hurdle and Mountain Tunes in the Weatherbys Novices' Hurdle at the track on Thursday and both look to have live chances.
Towcester Clerk of the course Robert Bellamy said: "Everyone was delighted to see him have that winner at Chepstow and hopefully, we'll have a nice crowd here on Thursday.
"It would obviously be fantastic for Towcester if he could get the 4,000th winner here. It would be a great feather in our cap and would give us great publicity as well, of course.
"Hopefully there are no issues with the weather, we'll have a good day and if he could do it, we'd all be delighted. If he does do it, obviously there will be one or two things going on. Until then, we'll just treat it like a normal raceday."

McCoy switched to Minella For Steak in place of conditional jockey James Huxham. Very selfish, depriving a young lad the money for a ride and probably a winner. Young lad trying to find a future in the game.
