Just a quick note for anybody who backed EDUCATE at 16/1 with Betfred at 9am on Cambridgeshire day a week last saturday?
I backed him single and had him in an each way double with DEMORA at 11/1 and was underpaid by £26 on my double and by £15 0n my single bet? When i queried this the assistant told me it was for a rule 4 because ASCRIPTION was a NR? I said it was 16/1 the field so how could there be a rule 4 but he said the rule 4 goes up to 16/1 now so i just believed him and left the shop?
It was only while talking to a friend yesterday who backed EDUCATE in a different Betfred shop that he said he queried his bet and after a few phone calls the lady was told to pay him the full amount as there had been a manual error regarding the rule 4?
I went in Betfreds yesterday and told the Assistant who originally served me all this new info but he just got all shirty and told me if ive got a problem to ring customer services! So i took the number off him and rang them and the man on the other end verified that there had been an error with the rule 4 and told me he would ring the shop in question and tell the assistant to pay me the difference when i went back in later-I also told him about the assistants attitude and he said he would have a word? Which he must have done because the Assistant was very helpful and apologetic when refunding me my £41

The Betfred customer service number i was given was 0800 032 0878
I also backed this horse and had 5p rule 4 applied, when was Ascription withdrawn. I thought it was about 830am on saturday.

Bets placed between 9am and 9.15am on the 3.50 at Newmarket should have one 5p Rule 4 applied.
This is due to there being a 16/1 non-runner Ascription, according to our terms and conditions, Rule 4’s should only be applied to selections of 14/1 or shorter.
After 9.15 Ascription’s price was reduced therefore bets taken after this time have been settled correctly.
Your bet has been settled correctly.

I placed my bets at 9-01am when it was 16/1 the field and they hold the price for 15 mins? So i cant really speak for anybody who backed it after 9-15am? As i said in my earlier post i phoned the number above and the guy was very helpful and at no point did he ask me what time i struck my bets?
I think the non runner was pulled out around 830am on the saturday however this was the response I got off them.

I can confirm that Ascriptions price fluctuated from 16/1 to 14/1 at 09:09:37 and was amended as a runner runner upon our markets at 14:07:19.

Ascriptions on hills says there is rule 4 only prior to 649am, no joy with bfred/totepool sent 5 emails and no joy.
Bet placed at a Betfd shop at 9.02 , when collected R4 taken out 5 p and cashier printed a slip out explaining it, told him to ring head office as it wasn't right

Is there any way getting an offical time that Ascriptions was made a non runner as no way it way 207pm, I sure it was about 830am
If it was before 9.00 and Betfd were going 16/1 the field at 9.00 ,then they cannt justify a rule 4 .How can a horses price contract when its a known

sounds like the chancers are paying out properly but only if you get them to contact HO.wonder how many people theyve ripped off who didnt argue,truly despicable outfit.
