GREY ABBEY, who won the 2004 Scottish National, 2005 Betfair Bowl, Pillar Chase and Charlie Hall Chase, died on Saturday at the age of 19.
Trained by Howard Johnson, Grey Abbey won 15 races and more than £360,000 in prize-money during an illustrious career. He also finished finished fifth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup won by Kicking King.

Aintree 2005 . Remember like yesterday looking at the grand old strapping GREY BAY in the paddock and he looked spot on ,ground was just perfect and he gave them a jumping lesson in the Betfair Bowl .
