Good on him. A lesser stable would be hauled in for that.

He can be very critical but it seems very often linked to the rides of horses he has tipped/backed.
Likewise he can be uncritical of moderate rides on horses beaten by ones he has tipped. For example he did not criticise Mosse for going too early on Chrisellian preferring to eulogise Hughes on Chief Barker. |

top of the class there from Willo not many would have had the b@lls to say what he did.

The Stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of JOHANN STRAUSS, ridden by Joseph O’Brien and trained by Aiden O’Brien, which was restrained in last place before making an effort two furlongs out and running on to finish fourth beaten some 2¼ lengths. They interviewed the rider and the trainer. They also received a report from the Veterinary Officer. The rider stated his instructions were to drop the colt in and get him settled. Then once settled to get him to run and finish as close as he can, but the colt became unbalanced going down into the dip and did not pick up as he thought, until he met the rising ground. The trainer confirmed the instructions and was happy with the ride that was given. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race the Stewards noted their explanations.

At least it will keep them amused on the flight back home. |

I agreed with what he said that Barcalona should be replaced by Martin Lane.
Perhaps I am warming to him, but thats stronging it a bit. |

I'm decidedly still cold, as I had my forum privileges taken away for

I am walking a very thin line so know what you mean, yet have never said anything insulting just stuck to the facts.
In fact its not unusual for him to insult the vast majority of punters when he calls them unsophisticated. |

Willoughby is correct in all this. Pity though he continues to defend Spencer EVERY time he gives exactly the same ride.

the b lokes an absolute tool, more or less suggested any top rated front running stayer would win the melbourne cup because the aussie horses were non stayers who ran the race to suit themselves

For a man that studies form so much its very strange that his own form does not come under the same scrutiny, if he did he could only come to one conclusion.
Certainly his selections do not trouble the judge anymore than any other tom, dick, nor harry. He did hit the nail on the head yesterday when he said the main objective is to win a few bob, or words to that effect. Reality at last. ![]() |

I think it's sad that as the main horse racing forum, that supplies information,
opinions, views, exposure, brutally honest criticism, and exposure of tv pundits. A genuine source for all types of information. From all types of contributors, that exposes the bookmakers ruthless practices. The duplicity and compliance of the trade paper, with the big books, and the complete lack of integrity from our sterile racing journalists. The continuous sham appearances and misinformation from the bookie reps, that goes completely unchallenged on the racing channels, for their combined commercial interests. The forum soon exposes the lies. And all you have to do, or so it seems, is make a complaint, about the views of a poster, he is silenced, his views discarded and banned, because of a ego, or a projected public image, of certain thin skinned individual. Who's pre race views are regularly exposed as at best, well wide of the mark. I wonder how many informed posters have disappeared, for giving honest views and opinions. It's not right. |

I've had a few blow outs with a quite a few on here. With posters who I would always read, and
respect, and with whom I wouldn't always agree with what they said, but I would always defend their right to say it. I would never email in order to get them banned, never. |
