OK THE WETHER WAS BAD TUES -THURSDAY WEDNESDAY WAS FAIRLY GOOD SUNSHINE AND A FEW DARK CLOUDS OBVIUOSLY THE WEDNESDAY TURNOUT CROWD WISE WAS PRETTY GOOD ....THE TUES THE RING LOOKED HALF DEAD THE PUBLIC JUST WAS VENTURING PAST THE FRONT LINE FAV FAV FAV FAV 99% OF EM WENT OUT LOSING WITH EXS IT LOOKED LIKE BEING A LONG WAY BACK WEDNEASDAY WITH CROWD THAT WAS GETTING INTO THE BAD PICKS SHOWN A REVIVAL AND A LOT OF BOOKS WENT OFF MORE OR LESS BACK ON TERRA FIRMA LAST DAY IT WAS BLEAK FROM THE WORD GO BITS OF DRIZZEEELL AFTER RACE 4-5 LADIES DAY AND THE CROWDS WASNT TOO BAD TUESDAY BEING THE WORST DAY BY FAR ...THURS STARTED OF DISASTROUS FIRST 3 FAVS GO IN AND THE BOOKS ARE IN IT ....4TH RACE SEES A 6 HORSE RACE 5-2 THE FIELD AND A 7 CHANCE WINS IT CAN BE OK FOR SOME AND IT CAN BE NOT SO GOOD FOR OTHERS BUT ON AVERAGE IT SHUD BE A RESSULT BUT AFTER THE 3 FAVS HAVE GONE IN THE BOOKS ARE DEFFO BEHIND RACE 5 DONT HELP AS THE VENS CHANCE WINS AND THE BOOKS ARE BK IN THE KRAPPER 6TH RACE A GOOD RESULT BEST OF THE DAY AND BOOKS TAKE A SIGH OF RELIEF LAST RACE 3-1 THE FIELD WON BY A 9-2 CHANCE AND ITS EVENS YOU GO THE RIGHT WAY .........................FINAL SUMMARRY 4 BOOKS IN THE MIDDLE HAEDED BY THE FLASHBOOKIE WHO SPENT 3 DAYS BETTING NEXT TO THE 4 PORTA LOO KABINS FLASH TOLD ME THEYVE BET WEELL AND HE WAS NEVER IN THE SZHIT IN FACT HES GONE AWAY FEELING FLUSHED ............ME OLD PAL SKINTO I THINK THEYVE CALLED OUT THE COAST GUARD HELLICOPTER THE ONLY CONSOLATION WEDNESDAY NIGHT HE WON HIS TABLE TENNIS MATCH ...............THE 3 DAYS WAS HARD FOR MOST AVERAGE OFF 34 BOOKS IN THE RING A DAY WHEN IT CUD ONLY STAND AROUND 22-24 ...................NOT MANY HAPPY BUNNIES

Understandable reaction foxy - ratio of books to punters in general made life for those on the back lines far from easy - and those with better picks were not exactly over busy. Payment or should I say introduction of the jolly old marketing fee seems to have had the opposite effect of that anticipated i.e attendances driven by the payment having been made.

I can see why you adopted that approach foxy. The AMF instead of being the deterrent it was first perceived has turned out to be a 'perverse incentive' to stand.
didn't learn democrat Saturday newbury could not be any good yet mugging fee paid Friday so still bet Saturday.
The marketing fee is another example of a system being put in place that is biased against those with inferior picks. A flat fee that in the planning was considered to be fair to all but in practice is far from that ! I wonder if the negotiators ever considered the 'fee' being collected by an extra charge at each attendance a la AGT fee ? Silly question on my part but a more equitable system in my opinion. As a rule of thumb the previous year's attendances could have been used to arrive at a formula to determine a daily charge that would produce roughly the same income for the racecourses.

In your case there should certainly be provisions Norfolk. On submission of your accounts the racecourse should take appropriate action and levy an excessive Idiot Fee to make sure you and your like never turn up again !!!

Some travel from far and wide to pay the very reasonable AMF - you couldn't make it up !
I saw some of the books they had on the thursday and tbh you wouldnt have payed to have them, weather plays such a factor tho tbh
Some books only attend for the three day meeting - I would suggest if the track informed them the badge fee had been increased by a pony ( min. ) some might think - not for me ! But call it a Marketing Fee and charge it one lump then the reaction is the opposite. Puzzling.
