He was trying to be 'cute'. Ton left at the finish.
By:
Didn't see last Saturday's run then?
By:
terrible ride , has to be said
By:
Why did Hughes have a whip he didnt use it, he is always trying to look good just timing it right, this time he cocked up .
By:
how many winners have yous ridden ?
By:
how many winners do you need to have ridden to eradicate those type of feck ups?
![]() |
By:
did he not hit the front for a few strides ?
By:
Is that Richard Hughes or you all, no such a word as yous, illiterate.
By:
obviously hughsie hasn't ridden enough yet
![]() |
By:
yeah my thoughts as well, seemed to want to just get it up on the line, makes him look cool sumtime and a coolnt others !
By:
not a total genuine horse
By:
so his horse never actually hit the front ?
By:
Horse outpaced when the others kicked. Horse not quite good enough over the trip.
By:
will have to watch that again
to me his horse nudged ahead but the others found more last few strides |
By:
ie his horse was not finishing best of the 3
By:
agree today on this horse he was rying to be too CUTE and got it very wrong imo
By:
Agree Stridingedge i thought it got to the front and the others battled back
By:
The horse definitely hit the front, it was a combination of the horse being a wimp and Hughesy doing as Hughesy always has and always will do (i.e. being easy enough on it) that got it beaten.
Seen far worse from him tbh. |
By:
must admit i wasn't paying utmost attention, didn't have an interest in race, the angle was not perfect either to judge.
but i was pretty sure he got to the front so i dont really get the criticism if thats the case. |
By:
Interesting the horse has an entry in the Racing Post over a mile but not in the Middle Park over 6F. Outpaced over the trip.
By:
it never hit the front at any stage watching it again
By:
The horse did exactly the same last Saturday when he got to the front earlier.
Curled up a bit in front when he seemed to have come with a winning run. |
By:
Actually seeing that slowmo then i'm not sure it got to the front with the angle.
By:
made all at Newmarket........surprised hughes never made the running and ensure a good test at the trip..
By:
it was an ironic comment as that is the stock reply when punters raise such criticisms of the darlings in boots n breeches
By:
it may not have got to the front watching again
BUT it certainly wasn't finishing as well as the other 2 either at the line! |
By:
course it was another stride or two and it would have won !
By:
thats not what i saw
that horse could have won that race easily, wouldn't have won with an extra 50 yards imo |
By:
i'd want to lay back some if i backed that in future put it that way!
By:
came to win and got outbattled simples really
By:
i will watch it again !
By:
Is that Richard Hughes or you all, no such a word as yous, illiterate.
pas seul I think you will find there is. |
By:
horse NEVER hit the front...hughes gave it nothing from sadlle...poor ride on this occasion ..end of story
By:
the point is the horse had time to get its head there
look at how they hit the line out of the 3 it wasn't finishing better, it just wasn't ![]() |
By:
as the 1.05 backers will vouch for
![]() |
By:
i dont think it stuck its head out at all
and would be wary of it in a finish thats 2 races now in succession its not found enough and last time it definitely was in front. |
