So that's the "favourite for next year's Derby" beaten so convincingly that the winning jockey could chuckle with 100 yards to go at how far he was ahead on the big screen !!!

Dermot Weld was in two minds to withdraw him I`m sure of it. He was walking the course just before the race??? and in my opinion he told Smullen to take it easy on him on this ground. But I would have rather he didn`t take the risk on this surface. But he is still a big player next year in my book on better ground and a step up in trip

Smullen gave up too easy for it to be true running, the horse is worth another chance

Free Eagle beaten by an O'brian horse, why ae we not surprised.
