If you had a horse that you thought had a chance in a decent race and Aidan didn't have one, how far down your list would Joseph be? In all seriousness would he be in the first dozen or so?

TBH I didnt have anytime for Joey when he started, then I thought he was one dimensional and only good from the front now I think he is fast becoming a top class jockey. Doesnt seem to be struggling this year with his weight as much either and is looking far healthier aswell. Also he is a hard man with the whip but has calmed down on that aswell which is good to see.

LOL...true but it might be if he had won about 20 like Joseph has or if the 4 he won included a classic, the Juddmonte, the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot's meeting, the Coronation Cup at Epsom's Derby meeting and the Sheema Classic at Dubai's World Cup meeting.
If the suggestion though was that Ahmed Ajtebi is no great shakes (or should that be sheiks?) as a jockey then isn't that even further support if it were ever needed that it's far more about the horses than the jockeys, considering the likes of Ryan Moore, Mick Kinane, Johnny Murtagh, Richrd Hughes, Frankie Dettori, Andreas Starke, Olivier Peslier, Maxime Guyon, Stephane Pasquier, Garrett Gomez, Craig Williams, Kevin Shea, Kent Desormeaux, Mike Smith and Edgar Prado were all behind him when he won those 4 Gr1 races?

I don't think any more evidence is needed to support that it's far more about the horse than the jockey ima, I think it goes without saying bruv.
You might be right about him looking healthier jmc, but my worry about his weight grew when I caught sight of him in a vest a couple of weeks ago, I was quite shocked how skinny his arms were. I'd be concerned that any wasting his does from now on will be taking muscle mass rather than whatever body fat is left, he's never been a lad that looks gaunt even when I assume he's been near dehydrated, that metabolism will start to slow now he's out of his teens too, here's hoping he lasts a few seasons yet tho.

Very good player Brother Mouzone but not a £42m player to me, although glad Wenger's spending but just found it ironic that Arsenal lost out on players like Schwarzer as a fill in for an extra £1m at a time when Almunia and Fabianski were iffy, offered £6m for Gary Cahill plus £2 add-ons when around a £10m straight offer probably would have been enough to secure the deal and then dithered over £17m for Mata until the release clause expired and then goes and pay £42m for Ozil.
Why, what's you view on it all? I see you have said you rate him but what did you think of the fee?

At this stage I wouldn't even look at the fee, they're insane but ultimately you just want to see top players on the pitch. I think he's in the top handful of players in the world, Arsenal needs things elsewhere but Ozil would improve any side anywhere, he's a monster signing imo.
