Not being a 'time' man perhaps you can answer this question for me?

On the Morning Line GC said Kingman's sectionals, especially in the last two furlongs, were exceptional. In that he ran the last 2 furlongs a second faster than Producer in the Group 3 run previously.
Given that the Gr3 was run in 1m 23.09 and the Kingman race was run in 1m 24.30 is he comparing like with like?

Timeform rated Kingman 106P on the back of the run, 101 for a bare time and form assessment, with sectionals suggesting his superiority was masked by the run of the race to the tune of 5 lb.

Is that "especially in the last two furlongs" exactly what he said? I thought he referred to the last two furlongs ONLY, thereby indicating a very fast last quarter mile.
One should also bear in mind that he could have meant exceptionally bad.

Anyone know where they got these sectionals?  Handtimed off the tv or are they available out there for selected personnel?

Corbiewood, I'm not suggesting he's deliberately tipping losers, just that if you are being paid by the owner of a betting shop to give tips to the people in that betting shop, then punting is probably not for you...

turftrax.co.uk do the big meetings.
They don't have the June Newmkt meeting Kingman ran in, and the camera was head-on for the last 4f, unless you have to pay for them.....
